2. The typical cash ISA account has under £13,500
3. ~1.8m use up their full allowance
4. Nearly 60% contributing less than £5,000 a year.

Read behind the headline and what he’s actually saying. £150 subsidy for a min £5m investment doesn’t help those struggling to pay bills. It’s a middle-class bung (WFA for all pensioners springs to mind).

As with most things in the media, it’s never binary and especially those with a narrative.

Bit late, catching up #bbcqt, but welfare cuts discussed again.

What seems to always get sidelined is that 40% of Universal Credit claimants are employed. So how is this making work pay, if you have to claim UC?

Too many companies get away with paying little and letting the Govt top up wages.

Stamp Duty should be scrapped permanently to help house movers and more social housing needs to be created. Would be an interesting strategy if Govt offered to buy landlord properties to turn back into social housing.
