Stumbled over some very old pictures, from my year in Japan. I guess I should count myself lucky, that I had a chance to see Kyoto before the big tourism wave.

And as I am in my way to Narita, have some early Christmas greetings... after all it's November 1st. So Japan switched from Halloween to Christmas overnight.

Will definetely take a look. I went to Koya-san in 2006 - so ages ago π Really hope to make it back during one of my next travels to Japan.

Current Moods: I don't want to go back home just yet and my vacation to end.
I'm looking forward to being back home.
I do not want to pack my suitcases tonight. I *really* do not look forward to the ~16hrs flight back.
I do look forward to sleep in my own bed and just do nothing for a few days.

Went back to Ueno Park - another great part of Tokyo to just get a bit of calm and rest.

Went to Amanoiware Shrine and Takachiho Gorge today. Took even more pictures of interesting greenery and rock formations π

Everything went fine this time and all the Miyajima deer behaved. No cakes were stolen.
Other than that: The first days in KyΕto have been busy and way too short. On our way to KyΕ«shΕ« now, where our stay will hopefully be more relaxed π

I think for my next travel to Japan I'll definetely have to get an international driving license and learn to drive a car on the left side.
So many great places to visit - but off the big tourist spots, they are barely reachable via train or bus.
