Working towards net-zero is how the world will achieve the Paris agreement: reducing oil consumption while implementing renewables. It's a transition over time, not an event.

In the short-term, it's in our interest to sell our oil. In the long-term, having continued to expand our use of renewables and reduced our use of fossil fuels, we will reach net-zero. In the very long term, the demand for our oil will be low and our economy will not depend on oil. #cdnpoli

We're entering a world where we either sell the world all the resources they need from us - oil, water, critical minerals - or we will eventually be invaded by any or all of the superpowers. Even if we sell to them, they may want to invade anyway, but we have better odds selling to them. #cdnpoli

3) without our willing participation, the US may invade to ensure the plan can sufficiently protect the US.

She is not concerned, in the short-run, about pleasing the people of Alberta. She's focused on a longer-term subversive strategy to implement fascist rule in Canada. She and Poilievre are the leading edge of the fascist insurgency in Canada.
