There’s a lot to like in these proposals so please do have your say and support the proposals to improve walking, wheeling and cycling:

✅ a more people-friendly town centre
✅ improved connections to Monton and Salford Royal
✅ improved accessibility for Eccles station

Last year I realised something that has changed my perspective on advocacy

At @walkridegm.org.uk we noticed social media wasn’t having a meaningful impact on active travel delivery, so we shifted our focus to more constructive spaces

📯Huge Opportunity for Public Space Improvement

Do you want to see a joined-up #BeeNetwork in #GreaterManchester?

Then have your say on this impressive proposal for Seymour Grove.

It's ambitious on paper, but local Councillors need confidence that there's public backing to approve it.

It is disappointing National Highways has failed to include improving the unusable Haweswater Underpass in the M60 Simister Island scheme design, and refused to commit funding.

It shows the lack of priority National Highways gives to improving facilities and access for local people.

NEW 🚨 After multiple Snake Pass Trespass rides, our main demand has been met by @derbyshirecc.bsky.social

Average speed cameras are coming to Snake Pass

A huge victory for our campaign and a safer future for all road cyclists in the Peaks.

Excellent to see this useful path brought back into use, and looking forward to see how it can be integrated into Salford’s ever growing walking/cycling network in future

It's great there's plans to improve the Irwell river path, but they really need to start by sorting out basic maintenance. The silt has been there since new year and significantly restricts access. This isn't the first time there's been floods.

Here’s a map of collisions where someone was injured or killed on Monton Rd.

20mph limits are proven to reduce the number and severity of collisions, and for the 0.25 mile section which is being made 20mph it will add a maximum of 15 seconds to your journey if driving.
Excellent news that the bustling Monton Road has now been reduced to 20mph, and bollards installed to prevent anti-social parking. A much improved environment for walking, wheeling & cycling.
🚧 Works on Chapel St East will begin on 22nd April. 🚧

From Monday 5th May the road will be closed westbound (Salford-bound) between Blackfriars Rd and New Bailey.
Excellent work from our neighbours in Manchester.

Salford will shortly be further enhancing city centre cycling options with the Chapel St East scheme due to start construction straight after Easter
Wonderful to see two of the new Deansgate walking and cycling junctions open today
