I can't do more and I know Fedex is super expensive, but is the only option I have and like 70% of my costumers are from the US.

Well, I will have to change the terms on shipping my commissions to the United States, from now is only available via Fedex. I have no other option. For the rest of the world everything is normal. The US is only "special case".

Some good news.
Courier mail via Correos de Chile is now available, is the express mail a little more affordable than Fedex (still $100 to $150, it depends on the weight of the parcel) and the duties are paid at arrival, like in the rest of the world.

Most normal countries have you pay this tariff fee when it arrives on your boarder. But this is a deliberate attempt to pass the headache of admin and costs to us. NO small business can eat these costs, we will just up prices. This will of course devastate many small businesses world wide. -

Bad news :/
Due te current situation with shipments to the United States, all EMS shipments are suspended until further notice. The only available option right now is Courier mail or FedEx. Which is absurdly expensive (FedEx rates are between $100 to $400usd)

A section says that countries below the 16% tariff would pay $80 per item, but currently, as far as I understand, Chile is exempt. Soooooo, I will have to check this periodically to know what will happen in the future.

At the moment, Chile has treaties in force with the US, and it was recently announced that trade would be tariff-free. However, this latest mandate doesn't make it clear what will happen in the future; this basically changes every day.

This is important to keep in mind, as I still have orders on my backlog that I won't be able to complete before the end of the month. It's not yet clear how this will affect small, single-person markets like mine. All the documents I've reviewed are guidelines for large exporters.

This hits like a bomb to every little maker outside the US.

I just woke up this morning and I learned that the United States government issued a mandate to eliminate the $800 de minimus that allows for exemption from customs duties, starting August 28th of this year.

Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for All Countries
