I have no clue what to think of this game. I was having an amazing time with parts of it, but other parts just leave me confused and baffled.

I really wish we could get an interview from Retro about the development of Prime 4, but there's no way that's happening any time soon.

Changing the item noise is unironically one of Prime 4’s biggest problems.
I don’t feel like I ever failed to notice the classic Prime item hum when I was near a collectible, but the new sound is too quiet and way less distinctive.

Ice Belt is one of the most atmospheric areas in the entire series. I can only name one or two other places in the previous Prime games that creeped me out the way it did.

I played up to the 2nd key. It's really, really good but it's also weird.
The easiest way to explain it is that it feels much closer to Prime 2 than 1 or 3. Not that it has dual worlds or anything like that, just the overall impression is always a bit unusual.

Early cross bombs lets you totally skip having to auto time infinite bomb jumps later on. Nice choice on Dread's part, it's definitely slower, but it's a beginner friendly way to deal with some of the trickier skips.

I could probably sneak in a Dread playthrough before Prime 4. I'm a little rusty, but it's a pretty short game. 🤔

Does anyone else think that Campanella is someone we know controlling a puppet? I don't have a lot of evidence for that, it's mainly a feeling I have.

Boy I sure hope they never horribly undercut this by handing this power off to another character for absolutely no reason!
This means something to me. Rean's power is deeply personal, the manifestation of his own weakness. It's his character, in a way. Facing it and creating SU is also moving forward as a person.

Technically we have no idea how strong Master Ka-Fai is, so there's nothing saying that he has to be stronger than the other Divine Blades.
...but I kind of feel like he probably wins this by a lot lol.

The references in Sutherland and Lamare feel very different going through the game a second time. They keep you waiting so long to see them, but that makes Erebonia seem like such a vast (but very connected) country.
