Finally we have AJ LoCascio (@ajlocascio.bsky.social)

Main characters are tough, because they have the most lines, and boy does Murphy have a lot of lines!

But AJ handled it like a champ, and really connected with the character and project.

His outtakes are also very funny (and filthy)

Tara’s was another incredibly fun session. Her energy and enthusiasm were off the charts.

What a treat it was to work with Phillip Sacramento (@thenivoiceguy.bsky.social) again. (He played the villain in Ben Jordan 7 and 8 nearly 20 years ago!)

The range on this guy…

Of note: one of his characters prompted a unique direction from me: “pretend you’re talking to a used tissue.”

Joey Sourlis (@joeysourlis.com) was another actor returning from the demo.

He killed it (pun intended) as Edgar the gravedigger. His delivery of one line in particular is among my favorites, as it transforms a weird old man into a Tibetan throat singer.

You’ll know it when you hear it :D

Week two of recording began with James Brown Jr. (not on Bluesky)

I had briefly met James years ago at an event in NYC, so it was great to have the opportunity to finally work together!

He was also very influential in flipping the project from NU to union, but more on that later.

We wrapped the first week with Andy Mack (not on Bluesky)

Another performer who shocked me with his versatility. Andy plays 4 characters, and he gave them his all.

As a director, it’s extra special when you can tell an actor is really having fun, and that was incredibly obvious here.

Marilena Gant (not on Bluesky) was a great find.

She plays one very creepy character and absolutely nailed the balance between childlike innocence and macabre sinisterness.

As far as I’m aware, this was her first performance in an adventure game. It most definitely should not be her last!

Next is Rhiannon Moushall (@rsmoushall.bsky.social) who plays 4 characters ranging from tragic ghost bride to evil little girl.

She’s especially entertaining as a fast-talking no-nonsense reporter.

We laughed like crazy during the session, which is always a nice thing!

Our first session was with Will de Renzy-Martin (@willvoice.it)

Will absolutely blew me away with his versatility. In Foolish Mortals, he plays NINE (9) characters (including 2 sets of twins/brothers!)

Editing his lines was incredibly fun because I was laughing pretty much the whole time.

Working with Gerald Hill (@voicesofgee.com) was a pleasure.

It was interesting directing the actors who’d already recorded lines for the demo, as they were already familiar with the characters, but also giving a “full” performance.

Like the rest, Gerald is awesome and you should hire him!
