Live in Edinburgh as an active English supporter of independence and EU membership for Scotland. Love birds and nature generally. Play viola badly and piano too seldom.

Imagine what Scotland could do if we had control over our massive wealth instead of it all going to billionaires in another country.
Capitalists, especially neolibs, HATE a Wellbeing Economy that puts people first, not billionaire’s profits.
We need independence NOW!

Great news. Will Maclean & Marian Leven have just won the Marsh Award for their Lewis land monument.
In the 1840s the Hebridean Galson estate was cleared for sheep. Most people were put onto emigration ships to Canada. Finally in 2007 - a community buyout. Their sculpture celebrates that renewal.

The EHRC has finally, five months after producing its wildly transphobic and, we believe, unlawful Interim Guidance now taken it down. Our judicial review challenge to that Interim Guidance will be heard in less than one month.

You have the power to ensure that if this result was to happen Scotland would be well clear of this toxic union. Don’t let them impose another government we did not vote for. Vote SNP in May ‘26.

STARMER’S LABOUR IS IN THE SHIT!

It’s a measure of its desperation that it’s had to mention Brexit, the forbidden word, not because of the enormous damage Brexit’s done and is doing, but because it wants to blame Farage’s Brexit for the small boats.

They would say that wouldn't they? To use a so often relevant quote.

“Make Brexit work” by raising taxes to stem the ongoing losses.
Slavish devotion to failed ideology has a very high price.

"There is no doubt that the impact of Brexit has been severe and long-lasting", Rachel Reeves tells Sky News, as she suggests that taxes will now have to go up as a result to "make sure the numbers add up".

No, it's B2 that's required, which is roughly like the sixth form exam. I suspect vast numbers of us nationals would fail.

The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of £800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes.

“There is no doubting that the impact of Brexit is severe and long-lasting." Says Rachel Reeves. It’s become convenient for the Chancellor to tell the truth about Brexit, at long last…

Polling by The Times shows that the percentage of the people in Scotland who, in any way, identify as british has fallen off a cliff……and continues to fall !

Another indicator of the inevitability of Scottish independence
