The fact Congress has only completed a budget 4 times since 1977 is unbelievable. They simply are not doing what we elected and paid them for. The inability to pass a budget leads to CRs or shutdowns and untold chaos for those trying to do the gov jobs.

That's a big question! The idea that a political party as an identity is an anathema to me. Education can and should foster independent thinking. Blind conformity is harder and tends to arise from isolation, apathy and the idea that whatever is being proposed won't affect me.

Especially true as Congress failed to do their job and appropriate/authorize an annual budget.

Since 1977, Congress passed all 12 annual spending bills before the October 1 deadline in only 4 years: 1977, 1989, 1995 & 1997.

Time to fire them all?

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.
