Unrelated, but I just discovered today the Vivaldi Concerto for 4 Violins is actually “Concerto for 4 Violins AND CELLO” and the cello actually has a pretty big part 😂 Don’t know how many times I’ve played it where the poor cellist has been neglected!

Even in university in 2014 they tried pulling off a “PDFs only, if you want a physical copy you have to print it off yourself”. I protested and as student librarian I blew through the funds printing music for everyone.

Does it save on purchasing costs for the school though?

Absolutely. Also, knowing that the people you text are constantly on their phones texting with other people, but somehow take 3-4 weeks to get back to you if they do.

The fun thing about being an ambiguous Asian is that people assume you’re from any Asian culture you talk about.

So people (including people from these places) think I’m either Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, Japanese, or Korean. Very few guess correctly.

I’m sad every time I hear of a Covid treatment breakthrough, like nasal sprays or treatments for long COVID because I know it’s never going to become available for the general public 😢

Oh I should look into this. I also learnt that I’m very “out of sight, out of mind”. I had a lot of food waste this summer as I was moving because there were things tucked away I completely forgot about that had long expired!
