Skyrim is the one that springs immediately to mind.
I was constantly re-rolling and starting again.
I’d say so. I’m quite deep in now at 90hrs on this save, and I’m not getting bored yet.
If there was ever a tale of failure to success, it's the development of No Man's Sky. Almost universally despised when it was released, but they really turned it around. There's SO much to do now. Hundreds of hours of fun to be had.
Regretted my pre-order... but I don't regret it now!

No. Not the child of a friend either. Just some poor random kid who was having a hard time on the water.
I mean... *technically* not a cruise, but I was on the ferry out to Tiri Tiri Matangi island, and a kid (unrelated to me) vommed on me twice, and then sat on my bag and broke my sunnies.
NO KIDS ON CRUISES!
100mb Iomega drive was awesome. I used to run a BBS back around 1990-1995, and I could back the whole thing up every night onto a floppy.
I've waxed lyrical previously about the boudoir of the grape, and the ridiculously twee frippery about how certain wine is said to be replete with 'notes', describing the flavour. It's been shown time and time again that this is nonsense. #alcohol

Is it making it into mainstream media over there?
Since Jacob Schweppe first sold his bottled carbonated water in Geneva the 1780s, everywhere pretty-much sells one flavoured brand or another now... even though it's still rare to find a place that sells both Coke and Pepsi...

The event looks **massive** - I knew it was a popular game, but jeez.
I miss gadgets. We just don’t have gadgets like we used to. Certainly not if you don’t want to remortgage your house.
So what's Musk going on about?
Perhaps I'm out of touch. D&D was **MASSIVE** when I was a kid, and I know lots of people who still play today. It has endured, even with occasional ructions about rule changes and so forth. (Don't like a rule? Don't use it.)
BG3 has reinvigorated things fairly recently too.
How is it gone?
The Villainy of Exercise
I'm not particularly fit. The eight-pack of my youth has become the keg of middle age, and the muscles, once taut and rippling, are now starting to go "Meh" whenever I ask them to do stuff.

The Borstal.
Youth Crime was a big problem as Britain slipped from the 19th century into the 20th century. Treating teens as adult hardened criminals begat bad outcomes. For starters... you ended up with a lot more young hardened criminals. #crime #youth

“Someone stole all the toilet seats in Scotland Yard. Police have nothing to go on.”
Black background, light from the side. :)
At first glance I thought it was Benny Hill dressed up for a skit.
My father and I used to play Indy500 on the Amiga. He’d do the mechanics and car setup. I’d do the racing.
I’ve just discovered Boston Legal. Shatner is surprisingly excellent. #BostonLegal
Here is a simple wooden ladder leaning against a wall.

The ladder reaches 3m high up the wall.
The base of the ladder is 1m away from the wall.

If you move the base of the ladder 1m further away from the wall, how high does the ladder reach up the wall now?

Yeah, having a human proof-reader is an extravagance. 🙃
I'm terrible at spotting that sort of thing myself. I can proof-read something many times, and still miss a 1984 in place of an 1894.
