Let’s also do a better job in talking and reporting about these tragedies with accuracy, respect, compassion. “Committed”, “took his/her own life”, “decided to end his/her life” imply rationality and deliberateness and don’t reflect the anguish and hopelessness victims suffer.
Don Matteo Balzano, a 35 year old priest in Italy, has died by suicide.
Let’s pray and do a better job as humans & members of a Church on earth that listens and accompanies more compassionately our brothers and sisters, especially priests, with mental health struggles.
