Watched Casino Royale again. Best Bond. Probably in my top 20 faves of all time. 10/10.

The lack of meaningful backwards compatibility on game consoles from generation to generation is a major failing of the medium. It’s like the biz has been training consumers to think of this art as disposable. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We’ve traded in the cultural resonance of collecting for the isolation of trend-chasing convenience.

Some thoughts.

Great games sell consoles.

Game publishers should not abandon physical media.

Games are not a service.

Games are an artform that people desire to collect, enjoy, share and experience again and again.
