In the ongoing #STPFlagging saga with one of my #UniFiFlex8 switches, the next attempt to resolve it will be to replace the uplink cable from the Flex 8 to the main #USW24PoE switch in my basement. Guidance online suggest cables & configurations should be checked first before replacing the switch.

Lort, that was a nasty sour burp.

Dear Hydrogen! My household definitely is equal opportunity when it comes to operating systems. We have 3 iMacs, 2 iPads & 1 iPhone, 2 Android phones & 1 smartwatch, 1 Windows laptops, 3 Windows minitowers, 2 FireHD tablets & a Raspberry Pi. What am I missing? Perhaps a few Linux distributions? LOL.

Woo-Hoo! I just read that Ubiquiti Networks is launching a 5G home/office internet device that will use SIM and eSIM from all major carriers. That will blow away the current 4G LTE failover device I have now. There also appears to be an "all-in-one" option. Check it out. blog.ui.com/article/intr...

Sorry to not have updated sooner. Mom is home from urgent care. As far as we know now everything points towards UTI. Thanks to those who sent well wishes! ❤️

At urgent care with Mom. She asked to go due to blood in her urine this morning and on her incontinence pad. Waiting to be seen.

Honest to God I'm going to reset this Sony Google TV so that it behaves like a dumb TV going forward. It just glitched and refused to load content and access to HDMI 4 where my Apple TV is connected!

Naturally today would be the day remote didn't work! 😤😠🥶

I also have an appointment to visit my former healthclub that I last visited at least a year prior to the COVID pandemic. They're more expensive than places like Planet Fitness, but I need to check them out. I'm feeling the need to be more active. Maybe it's the TRT talking. 🤷

I'm going to start working on doing some piriformis stretches the massage therapist gave me at my last trigger point therapy session. I'm sure this has been suggested before and I never did it. Apparently, it can help with sciatica. I'm desperate for any relief I can get.

Getting my car to be sufficiently warmed up this morning when I get in will probably be a challenge since the remote start, when it works, is capped at two ten-minute cycles. Thankfully I have a heated steering wheel and things warm up somewhat quickly once I'm driving.

"Santa, baby" by Eartha Kitt just played. Who remembers her 1986 song "Where Is My Man?" It was super campy and fun. Apparently, there's also a 2025 remix available.

My Samsung Galaxy Watch uses an app called Smart switch for backups, but it turns out that the app is viewed as an 'unknown app' by Android OS and blocked by Advanced Protection mode, which I'm not turning off. Google & Samsung needs to fix this foolish oversight.

I guess I should prepare for the group I'm running in 23 minutes. Is it 5 o'clock yet? 😆😵‍💫

My listening age according to #SpotifyWrapped is 30 (or 1/2 my age). I'll take it! 😍

Temps are dipping. Thankfully the work week is almost over as my aging body has less tolerance to the cold. I'll be hibernating for most of the weekend.

The bite-size tortilla chips from Walmart have been more palatable lately. For a short span of time several bags in a row had way too much salt.

Thankfully no snow here. There was a lot of weather-related fearmongering over the last 24-48 hours, but so far we've lucked out. Now, that doesn't mean there isn't any black ice. 👀

For better or worse I buy a lot of household items through our Amazon Prime household account (merged multi-user/single-household). Synchrony Bank services the Prime Store Card accounts and they're ending special promotional financing on 02/16/2026. Time to find another card. Maybe the Chase card?

It never fails that I have at least one maintenance medication that has no refills left. I don't remember this happening before refill ordering shifted to the pharmacy.

My PCPs office is fairly efficient in this regard, but it's still an inconvenience for same day pick-up.

Moderate-to-heavy rain most of the day at home, but as expected some (hopefully light) snow is forecast for work just 40 minutes north of my location!

I am so not ready for snow, even if it is December 2nd!

The nutty drivers are bad enough on dry pavement and sunny conditions.

I am surprised at all that our local NBC affiliate hasn't completed an OTA subchannel reassignment this morning. Days ago, they notified viewers to rescan their networks for the change. They changed the original ABC channel they took over, but the new NBC subchannel still doesn't show up. 😠

I definitely don't eat as healthy as I should, and Lort knows I love my candy, but I just ate a honeycrisp apple and it was delicious. I need to start building more fresh fruit and veggies into my diet - even if just weekdays. Who knows, I might turn this slippery slope I'm on weight-wise around.
