I feel like at my core I’m just an angry lesbian and that’s okay.
This book has been sitting on my TBR for a little over a year. I don’t remember was spurred me to move it up on the list but I’m glad I did. I truly enjoyed her style of writing and I felt like I walked away with greater insight. #isabelcanas #vampiresofelnorte #booksky

Chappell Roan really said “strap in and strap on summer 2k25”
In the last week, two FB groups I’ve been in have allowed users to post misinformation and offensive rage bait and in both groups, commenters challenging the posts are the ones banned because they aren’t being “nice”.

Say what?

A doctor has been serving one of Baltimore’s poorest neighborhoods for decades — and if his patients can’t pay, that’s OK with him.

So when he was diagnosed with cancer, his community rallied to raise $100,000 for his treatments.
For decades, a doctor refused to charge patients who couldn't pay. When he couldn't pay, his patients came to his aid.
When Dr. Michael Zollicoffer was diagnosed with two types of cancer, his patients started a crowdfunding campaign that raised more than $100,000.

I bit the bullet and bought myself a laptop because trying to write my book in a room with my kids is definitely a level of purgatory.
After watching *some* literary agents on TikTok, I see why we have some of the issues we have.

I have to finish it 😭 I have so many series I never completed it’s a shame.
My latest library grabs ✨
Terrified isn’t really the word. I’m a queer, black single parent and my oldest baby is on the autism spectrum. I don’t know how to feel. I want them to be an amazing and bright future. I’m so sick of our current administration.
My February Books so far:
-Parable of the Talents
-Raybearer
-Brewed with Love

I’m not sure what to read now and I have far too many options, it frightens me a little.
I came across “Womb City” today but I could only get one book! It’s definitely on my list though.

"The best and the worst thing about vaccination is that it 'makes nothing happen.'

A child successfully inoculated against measles doesn’t fall sick with that condition, doesn’t miss school, doesn’t go to the hospital. They don’t suffer life-changing complications. They don’t die prematurely."
A leading pediatrician was already worried about the future of vaccines. Then RFK Jr. came along
In a new book, pediatric infectious disease specialist Dr. Adam Ratner details the history of measles, a virus that’s often a bellwether for public health disasters.

Write every day for 1 hour. If you miss a writing day add 1 hour to the next. It’s incredible! Tomorrow I’m writing for 7 years.
Black people not responsible for dismantling white supremacy. Black people are not collectively to blame for DJT being in office. We knew the assignment. We did and do the work. The rest of you don’t or didn’t. Hold your own accountable and yourselves.
In reference to political parties, then you’d be right. In reference to average folks - no. This is my issue with yt leftists/liberals. Y’all be behind on the assignment and then say things like this that actively ignore what Black folks had been doing/saying.
No. All of us were not.
Mhm. It doesn’t matter which state (although it’s worse in some more than others), your economic status, your marital status, black women are the most impacted and therefore the black infant mortality rate is abysmally high as well.
