The Texas National Guard sent home seven soldiers whose fitness levels seemingly “did not meet mission requirements” for their deployment to Illinois, a Texas Military Department spokesperson confirmed Tuesday. The decision comes after some soldiers were ridiculed on social media.

The marketing machine went into heavy overtime on that one. Madonna at peak. The deep bench of talent and character posters. McDonald’s had a scratch off game.

I was 8 that summer. I shouldn’t have cared about a Warren Beatty comic strip project. But I was there on opening night with my dad.

I listened to this show nightly as a janitor in college. It was a delight in the early 00s. Little did I know it would be the start of 20+ years ofcontinued annoyance.

Through Letterboxd - I’ve found list making to be fun and they’ve caused me to scrub my rubric across genre and time. I also find that personally satisfying in a way that helps keep my pencil sharp against lingering biases or staleness

I would never say that is a form of actual criticism itself tho
