I love your lease stick setup! I'm battling my current set up, which keeps turning the sticks vertical instead of flat like that. I hadn't thought to add a separate holder to keep them in place! (Now hunting options.) (Also, the warp is gorgeous!)
Gorgeous colors! It looks so lush.
Win-win.

She gets snuggles; I get warm hands.

Don't have room for.... yet. Yet!
That is a massive amount of riches there!
Get a new car with more bells and whistles, they said.

Car: your tire is low!! Your tire is low!!

.... did no one tell the car not to cry wolf?
Having *also* "pushed the boundaries and innovated" recently, I celebrate your victory!
It would be so hard to turn that down.
Defenders of the neighborhood. (There evidently was a BIRD that dared to land in the front garden.)

I have friends that swore by the Cricut 12x10 one, because it would press an only slightly smaller area than a fixed press and was both more maneuverable and easier to store while also being an improvement over an iron.
My current one is not better suited for wider than probably 30 inch fabrics, sadly. I did one side, then rotated my fabric and did the other, but it's only 16" wide. It's about 8 years old, but similar to the Vevor 16x20. I have pressed 2 and 3 layers with it, with a Teflon sheet between though.
It's a gnome meant for you!!
Ah... I have a 16 x 20 press, and have so far only needed to press 23 inch fabric. I hadn't considered the WIDTH of the fabric here. I wonder if a swing-away style press would be easier than a clamshell?
I wish you much luck with that!
I found myself grateful I have a heat press in these situations.
I added about 20 inches to the suggested warp length, just in case my loom had more waste than the pattern guessed, but yeah. I think I've only wound around my warp beam 2 times before I'm at the length to thread the heddles, so getting a little concerned. Also feeling a bit silly!
Weavers, what's the shortest length of warp you're willing to work with on your floor loom?

My test warp for my floor loom is only a little over 2.5 yards long (2 towels worth), and this seems a little silly now as I'm threading the heddles.

She's evidently helping me attach my lease sticks.

Also, I find myself both excited and nervous about this next step, dressing the loom for the first time. We'll see if I got everything rebuilt properly!

Does the study just get filed as a physical sample? Or do you have an intended outcome for the cloth?
If you actually do not have a place to put it...you do not need that loom at this time. (Very great price, though, especially if it all works!)

But I'll join the chorus of you definitely need a loom at some time for your mental health.
My fiber guild has a couple inkle looms for rent, and I'm trying REALLY hard not to add another temptation to my line up before I finish my current projects.
Wonderful set! I love how each can be different but still obviously part of a set.

Was this your first time indirect warping? Do you find you have a preference?
I'm trying to wrap my head around threading a double heddle while leaving my loom in the stand. The last double heddle set up I did, I placed everything on the table for threading and let my back heddle just "rest" while threading the front.
