These measures would save us around £25bn a year. Not just money in all our pockets but a turbo boost to our economy - pushing down interest and lending rates, adding massively to our GDP and lifting millions out of poverty. We exposed the impact our runaway energy bills have on our economy.

£300 million a year given to relatively well off people, who can afford a spiffy new £15k heating system - it’s economically and socially unjust. Labour should take this subsidy and use it to help people in poverty.

Smart move, grid scale energy storage is a vital part of the Smart Grid we need as we transition to a 100% green. It’s how we balance the huge fluctuations of both demand and production. And of course part of the green economy - that brings jobs, economic growth and lower bills.
