As an aside to this... while theoretically I *could* probably figure out a way to live a normal-ish life nocturnally, it would always be socially very difficult.

Well, I say always, but maybe if I found a coven of vampires irl, provided they wouldn't be weird about having a werewolf among them.

Yknow, I've struggled for most of my life to keep a normal sleep schedule, and it might be an adhd thing, but thinking about it as well, I actually have been a night owl for p much as long as I can remember, which is basically as far back as like 2.5ish - which is not an exaggeration.

I would then usually be dead tired when I had to wake up for school the next day, but it was also weird because no matter how tired and sleep-deprived I was, waking up alert and ready to go at 0100 or 0200, to this day very common.

Sometimes I can get on a "normal" schedule, but it never lasts.

I couldn't tell you for sure the exact time, but I very REGULARLY throughout p much my entire childhood would wake up wide awake in the middle of the night, while everyone else was asleep, and then either lay down on the floor by a window to stargaze, or draw, or write, or sneakily videogames.

One of the worst human traits is the tendency a lot of people have to respond to someone being angry with them, with "I guess you hate me now time to be awkward about this for years" rather than just like y'know STOP CLICKING THE FUCKING PEN RIGHT IN MY EAR WHILE I AM TRYING TO PROOFREAD THE SCRIPT.

When you get older you eventually reach a fork in the road where you can choose whether you wanna go down the path where you basically turn into a rambling mess of nostalgic anecdotes and decreasingly accidental bigotry, or if you wanna go down the one where you become badass labor union grandpa.

Using "science" to make it bigger until it's just big enough that getting an erection makes it tangibly harder to think?

If you want to make merch with a commission, just discuss that up front. And that goes for either side. Copyright is incredibly complicated, and prohibitively expensive to litigate. Even with DMCA, which makes SOME things *slightly* more accessible, you still don't want to deal with that shit.
vaisz.bsky.social
All this being said though, it is generally better if you can just handle things informally, in conversation. It's easy to get a DMCA takedown, it's hard to get one reversed, even if you were 100% acting within your rights. Better to avoid that shit as much as possible if you can, just talk shit out

Default is the operative word there, because of course you CAN via TOS or contract, pass copyright to the client, either in specific terms of use, or exclusively.

That's a conversation to be had. I would probably not myself grant *exclusive* copyright, especially not in this era of generative AI.

By DEFAULT, copyright, as far as I understand, belongs to the author(s) of the work, which in the context of a commission would primarily be the artist. A client might have SOME authorship claim by virtue of the piece featuring their OC, but it would be limited, and definitely not exclusive.

When you commission someone for an art piece, generally yeah, the transaction that happens there is artist gets your money, you get the art. That ART, you bought it, it's yours. The *ART* is yours. The COPYRIGHT to that art, i.e. the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, etc is a separate matter.

Been seeing discourse about copyright with regard to commissions, and, per usual with social media discourse, there is a lot of misinformation floating around.

For one thing, it's important to note that copyright and ownership are NOT interchangeable concepts, copyright is very much its own thing.

i'd almost feel bad for someone who tried to pickpocket me, on account of the fact that I don't actually bother manifesting pockets so if you try to slip a hand in there you're going to just get sucked into a void and implode as all your elementary particles rotate out of a dimension where you exist

Me, leaning over you, my hand caressing your inner thigh, fingertips gently grazing your balls as my grip coils firmly around your PENIS; I lean in - my canine grazes your earlobe, my hot breath tickles the hair on your neck - and I whisper: "What do you call a blind dinosaur?"

Drop mic 🤜🎤

Some people make angel/demon ocs for power fantasy

I make mine so I can make whatever intrusive thought I have at the moment canon to be funny, with sides of philosophy, and symbolic theming pertaining to my own mental health journey for dessert.
