Well it's also a useless goddamn question. What's the point, other than to stir up drama? Maybe we could get into a discussion about platform priorities, but I'm sure this is just CNN fishing for rage bait.

Not worth anyone's time.
THEN SHOW US YOUR PLAN JACKASS THE REPUBLICANS HAVE HAD A GODDAMN DECADE WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT
That being said, the number of "we're donating, we're offering free meals, we're stepping up" in my community at least has made me feel incredibly proud. The people that have the most to lose are the most generous.
There's nothing that motivates more than personal interest. I wish we as a people in general could be a bit more altruistically motivated, but this shit you don't have to put a theoretical exercise on to make people understand. They feel it immediately and understand they're getting fucked.
Exactly why should strategies to establish a healthcare plan be *secret*? It's not national security. That's just an end run around accountability.
I was explaining why people were complaining, since you seemed to find that worth your time to engage in.
No, the people complaining about this value something more than money and if you'd stop thinking about money for longer than five goddamn seconds you might see it too
You should play Outer Wilds.
right, and one day i'll get to the gym, sure, we believe them ;p
They *think* they are. They project their strength to convince us it's hopeless to stand against the wave.

It's an illusion. The same strongman bullshit that withers when real courage and integrity enter the room.

They can't turn back the clock. A better world is possible; we can't surrender.
Say it louder for those in the back.

There's been so much fearmongering, people think the planners and movers behind this are machiavellian geniuses. No. They've had *some* success but the project they seek to enact is absurd in scale, and they just aren't smart enough bring it to fruition.
If I recall, Johnson actually said it was "genius", that insane AI post of Trump's dumping shit on protestors.
Nebraska DHHS needs to take down this banner. This is absolutely unacceptable to politicize our government agencies in such a manner.

#Nebraska
Ah, so you're in the "I don't give a shit about people who can't afford insurance" camp. I get it. I don't think we need to continue this conversation further.
Okay, so what's the solution then? Just, poor people get fucked, don't deserve healthcare? How do they get help?
What's the Republican plan right now? I know what the Democrats are trying to accomplish, to extend the ACA credits so premiums don't jump massively. That'd impact both Democrats and Republicans, that's an across the aisle issue. What's the Republican plan exactly that you're defending?
Some folks will never be satisfied. Typically the same folks who wallow on the sidelines and would rather bitch than actually do anything.
This is the most twitter conversation I've had in awhile:

If you'd rather just have a whole new conversation, you can go start that.
What? Why would I want that? I want there to be some acknowledgement by Republicans that they will negotiate to end this shutdown. You know, via compromise. Which is what our system is built around.

But it would require Republicans having to compromise and not get everything they want.
I'm sorry, *who is currently in control of the House and Senate* right now?

What, they couldn't address this during the Big Beautiful Bill, or were we too busy giving ICE record-shattering amounts of money and giving corporations mega tax cuts?
Blaming the Democrats for taking a principled stand to try to keep a huge percentage of Americans from getting fucked is *insane*, especially considering it's Republicans that control all three branches of our government.

But no, of course the Democrats just need to lie dead more. Sure.
They're holding out due to the Affordable Care Act credits that will skyrocket insurance premiums once they expire. Republicans are holding SNAP benefits hostage (especially considering THEY HAVE THE MONEY THEY COULD USE THAT'S SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS PURPOSE DURING A SHUTDOWN)

Rs need to negotiate
