Young people engaged with their MPs at the Youth Hackathon as part of the Pride weekend

Youth Pride 7th June with free tickets for under 18s and we’re celebrating Power of Youth Day with a Youth Hackathon as part of Pride 🏳️‍🌈 on Sunday 8th June. All free access!
As part of the Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Pride Festival we have 2 Youth Prides!
Saturday is Youth Pride with live music, stalls/ activities, Free tickets for under 18s.
Sunday fringe event includes a Youth Hackathon, MamaG Story telling, live music,face painting arts & music
We’ve been rather quiet the last month. Not that we haven’t been active in our community but we had a break from social media. Some downtime for staff, young people & the communities within which we engage.
We’re currently co developing a plan for celebrating the community projects & work we do

UYA is working in partnership with Prof Karen McArdle, to create a space where young people from UYA Coastal Social Action groups take the lead in shaping PAR research. examining career advice biases that affect social mobility, health determinants & inequalities.
#lgbtqhistorymonth we celebrate the impact of young people and their social action towards change. Young people are a crucial element of their community’s history, culture and future.

This weekend the Coastal social action groups met with Professor Karen McArdle to be part of the Young Researchers project. The group explored the impact of IAG on young people’s future health choices and opportunities. Research to commence next month with the findings presented in Sept 25.
