Last week we were pleased to welcome Professor Sharath Sriram, WA Chief Scientist, to the OI and UWA Coastal and Offshore Research Lab (CORL).

We look forward to continuing to work with the Chief Scientist’s office to help advance WA’s science, technology, and sustainability ambitions.

A new study led by OI member 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿, in collaboration with colleagues at DBCA and UWA, has revealed that a marine heatwave caused extensive habitat fragmentation in one of the world’s largest and most important seagrass ecosystems.
