One of my favourite Flemish folktales is that of a witch who lived near the sea in a derelict cottage that the locals avoided. They were thrilled when a storm destroyed it. The witch went to the sea and kept herself occupied by conjuring storms and capsizing ships.

I'm in love with classic Film Noirs.
A lot of those old films were low budget, stripped down B pictures. Shot fast and cheap. Those restrictions forced them to lean into the shadows and the music to create mood their budgets wouldn't allow. This was one of my attempts to do the same.

Here is my no prompt inktober piece for today. It's a double page spreadsheet for my 8 page comic Mondays Saturdays & Sometimes.

I'm pretty happy with how it worked out.

Reminds me of my work when I was 17. We do it for the love of the panel, the love of the page.
