Unite has delivered a good pay deal for GXO Logistics workers in Motherwell. It’s another significant win for @unitetheunion.bsky.social in securing better jobs, pay and conditions for logistics workers.

EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS BILL

The Labour party was supposed to implement the employment rights bill IN FULL, fire and rehire, zero hours contract, rights from day one all watered down.

Workers will feel duped. PART 1 ⤵️

This brilliant win shows the power of a union.

@unitetheunion.bsky.social will always fight to improve pay for workers up and down the country.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹: 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲

The employment rights bill is a shell of its former self.

With fire and rehire and zero hours contracts not being banned, the Bill is already unrecognisable. 1/2

🚁 Leonardo workers accept 8% pay rise over 2 years

There is power in a union and workers at Leonardo should be proud of the increased pay award they have secured.

On the fundamental issues of who pays for the crisis and the investment required to back British industry, the wrong decisions are being made.

Health workers, engineers, and tanker drivers will pay through stealth taxes, while city bankers and billionaires go largely unscathed.

🚨 Govt North Sea plans: Tinkering around the edges will not deliver

This govt’s drive to net zero is recklessly letting go of one rope before you have hold of another. Short-term measures and tinkering around the edges will not deliver the game changer that North Sea oil and gas workers need. 1/2

🚨BUDGET 2026

On the fundamental issues of who pays for the crisis and the investment required to back British industry, the wrong decisions are being made.

Millions of workers are being forced to live hand to mouth, surviving rather than living. 1/3 ⤵️

💼 Stealth taxes are workers paying the price, this is the wrong choice.

The chancellor has picked a side. Health workers, engineers, and tanker drivers will pay by stealth taxes, while city bankers and billionaires are unscathed.

🗣️ BUDGET 2026

We need a wealth tax because everyday people cannot pay any more, they need to go to the wealthiest in our society and they also need to change the fiscal rules so that we can borrow to invest.

Labour have a chance in this budget to rectify what they haven't done.

People are hurting, this budget needs to be there for working people and those with less.

We need to look at a #WealthTax.

😡 Fresh Birmingham agency bin worker bullying revealed

The public ranking of the drivers’ tachograph infringements is just another bullying tactic, along with blacklisting threats, to keep them in line.

The biggest question in tomorrow's budget is: 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙮𝙨?

For too long, workers and communities have paid. This needs to change!

😡 Aer Lingus plans to close Manchester Airport base

It is outrageous that such a profitable airline such as Aer Lingus is proposing to close its base, putting hundreds of jobs at risk. 1/2

BUDGET 2026 | Workers and communities cannot continue to pay the price!

Everyday people paid for:

😡 2008 financial crash & austerity.

😡Covid, some of them with their lives.

💡 Why can't we simply tax the richest 1%, 1% more? Black hole gone! 📽️⤵️

This weeks #Budget2026

Labour must not go back to workers and communities and make them pay again. They must show whose side they are on. #WealthTax

This morning on @bbclaurak.bsky.social ⤵️

Rachel Reeve's budget must see a change to the fiscal rules so that we can borrow to invest and Labour must introduce a wealth tax.

Driver fatigue is a major safety issue for both our members and passengers, but Metrolink management is not taking this seriously.

They are guilty of not acting on our member’s concerns. It can’t ignore this issue any longer.

👫🟰EQUAL PAY DAY

In this day and age it is utterly wrong that women are still paid less than their male colleagues.

If the government is serious about boosting productivity and driving economic growth, it must address and implement @unitetheunion.bsky.social's demands. 1/2 ⤵️

🗑️ Birmingham bin strike: Shabana Mahmood community event.

The support of the local community for bin workers is overwhelming. @bhamcitycouncil.bsky.social and local MPs need to wake up and realise residents are backing the workers, return to negotiations and make a decent offer to workers. 👇
