In times of crisis, girls face denial of their rights, lost futures, and ignored challenges to their mental health. And still, they lead. They speak up. They demand change. It’s time to act on what girls are calling for.

The news of a ceasefire brings a much-needed, long-overdue glimmer of hope for children and families in Gaza.

UNICEF is ready - we have a plan in place, supplies on the move, and a team on the ground providing children with life-saving supplies and services.
Maisara, 13, reacts to the ceasefire news in Gaza: I felt happy the moment I heard
the news about the ceasefire. Finally, I will return to my city in the north, because like all children, we are tired of war. We want to live our childhood again. What makes me even happier is that we will
no longer suffer from hunger. Rasha, 13, reacts to the ceasefire news in Gaza: I miss my cousins. And we want to go visit them in the cemetery in East Bureij camp. And we want
to go see our families in Gaza. Since the ceasefire was announced, we have all
been happy.
