Life's too short to listen to shitty music.

John Prine went on to make decades of great music, but his 1971 debut is one of those perfect albums, and features one of the greatest songs ever written. 13 songs that could have been short stories, movies, novels, jokes, paintings...

Ellis Ludwig-Leone composed these songs while at the Banff Centre here in Alberta for a year, then gathered a top notch group of musicians/vocalists to bring them to life.

I remember these two great debuts from 1980 being reviewed in the April16/81 Rolling Stone. What followed was an amazing 5year run of great albums from each in '80,'81,'83, and '84.

A work of art, from the surface to the depths.
Timely too, what with the issue of water sovereignty and all.

This is wonderful.
A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

Only the Kinks could make such a quintessentially English album sound like a classic county rock record.
Features one of their greatest (if under appreciated) songs-20th Century Man.
