Great news! UEF's Department of Social Sciences got significant funding to partner with Tribuhavn University, MidWestern University & Purbunchal University in Nepal, & University of Ostrava (Czech) & National Distance Education University (Spain) to develop social work practice education in Nepal.

The University of Eastern Finland has been awarded over 320,000 euros to coordinate five projects, in the Team Finland Knowledge programme 2025 call, and over 347,000 euros for student and staff mobility with 21 partners in 19 countries, in the Erasmus+ programme’s call for global mobility in 2025.

The National Archives in Joensuu & UEF library in Joensuu have one of the most unique Africa collections in Finland with material from Finnish missionaries and other collections from East Africa. The same materials are found in Namibia and in East Africa. Today's tour was part of the #AfricaDayUEF
