On Friday, October 31st from 12:30pm to 1:50pm in SBSG 1517, I will host a career panel featuring UCI Psychology Post-Bacc alumni who have successfully gotten into master's or doctoral programs (who can talk about their experiences with applications, the GREs, and/or the interview process). The following alumni will be speaking on this panel: Dr. Ramona Martinez (post-bacc '19), who earned her Ph.D. in Social/Personality Psychology at UC Riverside and who is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Cal State Long Beach Dr. Jessenia De Leon (post-bacc '16), who earned her MSW & Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Southern California and who currently works as the Executive Director of the Uplift Youth Foundation (and as an adjunct professor at Irvine Valley College) Dr. Josie Pijpaert (post-bacc '16), who recently earned her Ph.D. in Couple & Family Therapy at Alliant International University and who currently works as a transformative couples therapy research clinician at Transformative Couples Therapy Institute Laura Brownstein (post-bacc '18), who earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology (with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy) at Pepperdine University and who currently works as the Clinical Training & Professional Development Coordinator (and as an adjunct professor) at Pepperdine University - while also running her own private practice as a licensed marriage & family therapist Sono Lee (post-bacc '23), who is currently a 1st-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at UC Irvine Ghazal Naderi (post-bacc '23), who is currently a 1-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at UC Irvine Lunch will be served. Note: Although this panel was organized specifically for the students in the UCI Psychology Post-Bacc program, I am happy to open up this event to anyone who is interested in attending.
