More and more I’m getting the sense that Rubio is the “deep state mole” trying to keep the train on the tracks.
Rubio was photographed pacing around the Oval today and then Trump tweaked out on camera for 20 minutes tonight. I wonder what speech Trump planned to give when he announced it yesterday and if plans changed.

I want AI to replace call center employees. I want AI NPCs in video games. I want AI in my car to explain to me why my check engine light is on. Those aren’t examples - that’s the whole list.

Name a song from the past 10 years and I can find the starting pitch no problem. Pick a 90s hit and I’m consistently a half step flat. It’s like a mental Doppler effect - the older the memory, the lower the pitch. Wonder why that is.

The timing is what’s shocking here - not the justification. If this happened a few months ago it would have been a sidebar story about sanctions. Instead it’s another in a series of provocations by our newly rebranded Department of War.

I don’t know much about the game of basketball but I know that LeBron James is playing it the right way.

It’s a fair question to ask, but it’s telling that he doesn’t even consider the other side of the “war crimes are bad” argument - especially as a supposed Christian.
“Should we follow the Geneva Conventions?” Pete Hegseth asked in 2024.

It’s almost as if there were signs!

So we really are just executing helpless people in international waters now.

Why aren’t FBI background checks part of the public record for political candidates? Why is it that the right to privacy only exists for people seeking the highest offices?

Now we got guys blocking in our cars at the grocery store trying to sell us junk they bought at dollar tree. Maybe that’s normal in other parts of the country but I’ve never seen it here before.

This is why charisma is considered top tier. Anyone who has ever played any RPG isn’t surprised by this.
Trump on Mamdani: "I think he's gonna surprise some conservative people, actually. And some very liberal people he won't surprise because they already like him."

Our local economy is shrinking. They’re painting the town red white and blue. Every vacant property is being converted to self-storage. The only consistent growth we’re seeing is in “public safety income.” Feels like we’re becoming a speed trap town.

Fire Nico Fetterman.

Jobs report? No need. The economy is great, trust me. Anyway here’s $2000.

It’s that time of year when white men decide that they’re interested in running for office. I would encourage such men to consider whether their perspective would be redundant, and if so, consider backing a woman or minority candidate instead.

This is why it looks like caving - because it is. These are not honorable people we’re dealing with.
Speaker Johnson has literally said he's "not promising anyone anything."

For once, I believe him.

Chris Murphy: "There will be pretty substantial damage to a Dem brand that has been rehabilitated if on the heels of an election in which the people told us to keep fighting, we immediately stop... if we surrender without having gotten anything, I worry it'll be hard to get them back up off the mat"

This Fetterman compromise is truly insane. The No Kings protest was record-breaking. The election last week was a total sweep. Trump’s approval rating is the lowest it’s ever been across both terms. The people have been begging for this fight with every tool at their disposal. This is betrayal.

After a year in local politics I’ve been struggling to find the tangible differences between the two parties. Both feel pressure to keep taxes low. Both are hesitant to make big community investments. Both are tempted by outside investors. Both are at the mercy of broader economic circumstances.

When every town in the country is increasing their property taxes to offset rising healthcare premiums, higher cost of living, and reductions in federal grants, and the federal government is at the same time cutting services, it’s a good indication that our economy is not okay.

We desperately need more honest, ordinary people to join their local party committees. It’s shocking how many of these blue wave victors in small towns are just in it for the networking opportunities. So focused on winning that we don’t even know what we’re fighting for.

I honestly have no idea if Mamdani’s policies will work in NYC but I would love to be part of the experiment.

We came within 80 votes of flipping our town blue for the first time. We were outspent and had no idea what we were doing but we showed up and now everyone knows we can win here.

It’s been 16 years since Sean Hannity agreed to be waterboarded for charity. Between the expiration of ACA subsidies, withholding of SNAP benefits, and the passing of Dick Cheney, now seems like a good time to revisit this.

Saw this on the ballot in NYS:

“Preserve Land Allows skiing and related trail facilities on state forest preserve land. The site is 1,039 acres.”

My wife said there was more text but it was cut off by the voting machine unless you click on it.

Met a MAGA guy while knocking on doors today. He said his kids were forced to take a bus 30+ miles to a school in the city instead of their local district. Apparently this was a thing in the 70s. Said he didn’t like Trump but trusted him to protect his family from these sorts of policies.
