Trump alone didn't beat the justice system.

He had help.

It took Oligarchs relentlessly amplifying his lies on their media platforms.

Ethically compromised members of the Supreme Court.

70+ million willing to vote for a convicted felon.

There's a lot to fix. But it can be fixed. It must.
I don’t know if blue sky will be better, but I think X will be worse. Nothing constructive happens over there.
From what I understand, the DA wants sentencing to move forward, but have execution of the defense damaged until after Trump serves his term.

If Trump is sentenced now, it’ll likely go to the US Supreme Court and be overturned.
When did Republicans become so weak? Under Reagan, wasn’t there a sense of strength within the party? Now Trump and MAGA seem to be terrified of offending Putin.

Biden hasn’t gone far enough with Ukrainian support. “Declare an emergency“ and use that power to give Ukraine everything they need.
Can’t wait for David Pakman‘s new book. I’d love a free copy!

I see more Ukrainian news on Threads than Twitter.

Over 100 million users in 5 days.
I have yet to see or experience any problems with that. NAFO is all over the place there… I don’t see Russian bots, sympathizers, or propagandists.
And the community it has already dwarfs Blue Sky - in less than 24 hours they had 30 million signups.
When I joined Blue Sky there were only about 10-20k users. I felt very hopeful this would be a Twitter killer.

But unfortunately development and growth seems to be moving at a snail’s pace and the vibe here seems to be somewhere between nonexistent and forced.

Threads seems much better.
June 26, 2023 Update: Russian losses continue to grow with 950 soldiers demobilized yesterday. This comes as ZSU establishes a solid force on the left bank of the Dnipro river.
This was released through official Ukrainian channels. I will not post anything specific to the Ukrainian punter offensive unless it’s cleared by the ZSU for public release.
ZSU pushed the Russian lines back by almost 3 km in the direction of Priyutne and nearly a 1 km in Robotyne.
June 25, 2023 Update: While Russia was failing to even fight a civil war correctly, Ukraine demobilized a good number of Russian soldiers in Ukraine - 720.
I think it’s anyone’s guess. I doubt Putin has long term plans. I think he just needed to get out of Moscow asap.
“Moscow holds” might need a similar update in the near future.
I don’t know if that’s the final destination. There are reports of many private flights leaving St. Petersburg.

Remember when Putin pooped his pants? I think it’s happening again. With the ICC indictment he’s not safe outside of Russia, and now with Wagner he’s not safe inside Russia either.
Putin’s private jet departed Moscow.
There are videos of Wagner columns continuing towards Moscow.

I need to go buy more popcorn… I feel like I’m going to be eating popcorn and sipping soda for a few days.
Medvedev has fled Moscow with his family.
I need to amend the previous statement. Wagner controls more territory in Russia than Russia occupies in Eastern Ukraine. Crimea is huge. Here’s a map. Red is occupied Eastern Ukraine, purple is occupied Russia.
Battle is already underway in Voronezh.
Now Russia is the second strongest army in both Ukraine and Russia!
Fun fact. Wagner occupied more territory inside Russian than Russia occupies inside Ukraine.
