Whelp, once again I am compelled to take direct action to cause material harm to fascism.

This unfortunately means starting this week I have to reduce video production down to merely the livestreams on Sundays.

Remember the road to worker liberation is long, but when we fight we win.
Idk might just be bluesky shitting the bed 🤷
Idk what your distro is but this is not an uncommon occurrence in dual booting via same drive.

I just did this on a fedora install, all I had to do was boot into a live USB environment and repair the install.

However, that solution is distro-specific, and not sure if the drive used GPT or MBR.
I have heard that this is an issue with uploading images from some iteration of Firefox on debian-based Linux, but I have yet to test and confirm.
I don't know enough about rust to have a meaningful opinion on it but I am deeply concerned about it's potential to unleash woke 2.
Feel this. Keep meaning to fix my kde taskbar behavior since I first installed this theme...8 months ago.
Yeah, still bugs the crap out of me though that I daily use a mass spec setup worth like 2 million dollars and we only just got the upgrade from windows XP last year.

Not internet connected so I guess it doesn't matter.
I'm sure at some point there will be a linux OS that's a solid competitor to windows for general use, but only like 3 distros are headed that direction rn.

I'm only going to confirm your belief because while I'm no CS dude I am so much of a gamer I built my gaming PC's OS from the stock arch kernel
God I'm so pissed about how mrna vaccines got politicized. It's such an incredible technology.

It's a very fascist thing to hate science and all, but idk how we're ever going to beat something like HIV or CML without technologies like it.
Yeah I don't think most people would.

I've taught enough people to use Linux I find the main reason people switch to it and keep using it as a general purpose OS is material improvements to their computer experience like saving money by not buying a new PC.

Idk it ain't magic.
This tracks. I'm glad all the research I was involved it was corporate funded because I don't think the USA will be doing much publicly funded science grants any time soon. Unless it's phrenology I guess.
Of the time that's going to either be some windows variant or the proprietary software to interact with the machine is windows only.

Idk I love Linux and all, but it's not like the win nt kernel is totally useless or bad, I just have no love for the company that controls it.
2. Some cooked windows NT monstrosity.

3. RHEL, but pre 6 and with most commands stripped out.

Idk, some variant of Linux runs most of the world's server infrastructure, but the world of embedded industrial software and fabrication is pretty much is whatever the manufacturer decided and most
I use a lot of embedded OS's for robot control (industrial metal machining, not electronics) and ime, assuming a large industrial machine isn't 50+ years old (which a depressingly large amount are in the USA), it's an uneven 3-way split between:

1. Some dumb legacy system written in kobol

Monetizing user data than it was back then.

Idk, I got tired of fighting with my PC, and the inconveniences of Linux ultimately proved less than the frustrations of using windows.
I switched Linux on my personal devices back when win7 was still the hot windows release.

Window's design priority has changed over time. While 15 years ago the system overhead was annoying and the telemetry gathering was weird, the modern windows OS is much more of a tool for acquiring and
Nice.

Yeah those old 5:4 resolutions and color depth is surprisingly difficult to get working on a modern PC, even if the fundamental architecture is the same.

At a certain point I'm wondering if like a win95 emulator would work better than wine for some older games.
I'd buy this article if the man had like a Vietnamese name, most Americans don't know how to pronounce and would routinely fuck up a name like Nâm Dàhn or Thy Dù. Diacritical marks are hard, but Zohran is pretty easy for a native English speaker.
It's phonetic in English??? At least the last name.
I'm not gay, I'm a practitioner if the phallic arts.
Yeah. I've been trying to get a mattel game that uses some variant of DX3 running and it uh...well it ain't happening.
Nah, I don't blame you for not wanting to try and teach everybody.

I got my husband to do it, but learning a whole new OS is a FUCKING PROCESS to be sure. Especially if someone is not very tech savvy.
I mean, I was replying to specific post below that with the shutup10 software link.

But yeah, if you're using a DNS sinkhole to avoid telemetry collection I could see that being a solution.
Yeah. When vulkan started getting good almost every game I had started working on linux.

Except for those that use that damn DX9.0c 4.09.00.0904, stupid NT/9.x backwards compatible bullshit graphics api bad bad hate :C
I'm not here to evangelize Linux, but it sounds like you're in a similar spot to where I was about 15 years ago with windows telemetry.

IME:
1. Windows can and does just undo these changes on its own.
2. It's fundamentally designed for data collection.
3. You cannot make windows something it isn't.
