It was actually a bit of a rush to find stuff in the Pokémon Legends Z-A game box besides just, y'know, the game! And I mean, it's at least a *little* nifty! Comes with a handy little type matchup chart 👍

Took me back to the good ol' days of game manuals for a moment there.

A picture of my Steam Deck in the background, it's got the title card for the Atari 50th Anniversary Celebration. In the foreground is a CX40 Atari 2600 Joystick. Updated for the modern age. I am currently charging it, but it is wireless and works like I remember it. Back when I had a 2600. This new one is slightly smaller than the original. But it feels and functions just like the old one. Maybe not as stiff as the old one. But it feels the same. Right down to the rubber stick. I fired up Air/Sea Battle and you know what? I was 9 years old again.

I'm liking the combat overall, but lol for real, this is such a good point. I feel bad for my 'Mon who just took a face full of Thunder Shock while I just yeet myself out of harm's way.

I'm diggin' it so far. As someone who hasn't tried a Xenoblade yet, it feels like an approachable stepping stone toward that type of gameplay.

And anything to spice up the Pokémon rigamarole in 2025 is something I'll at least give a chance. Glad I did.
