What life skills do you need to survive anywhere in the world?

Today is a run day. It’s cold. It’s needed.

You can disagree. My point here is; the same people who devalue college degrees are the same that cling to fandom when challenged. A college/university isn’t a professional team with a singular focus on sports. Either find value in the entire premise of higher education or stop claiming affiliation.

This was a post to see how many people would defend fandom vs the value of the education earned. Turns out, there are several people on other platforms that make posts like “college is pointless” who took exception with this statement.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 24
Do you know how many “longhorns” are also part of the “your degree is useless” crowd? I know several. They want the association without the work. They are just fans. That’s ok.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 24
It’s how college admissions work. If you didn’t get in, you’re a fan. Be a fan. You’re just not a Longhorn. You’re a Longhorn fan.

What are we reading these days? All things negotiation related. Yes, most of them are audio books. #read

It’s the “do as I say not as I do” era.

Did you practice your Spanish today?

We only train on handguns. Why? They are what we carry everywhere, everyday when we’re stateside. HKVP9 tactical, comped, lit, dot, peddled and a 20 round magazine.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
Yes. Mostly because gun fights require more thought than people realize, especially in everyday life. There are so many cases where bad guys win because the gun guy reverted to stand and shoot training requirements for a CCW. The tool doesn’t make people dangerous, knowledge and ability do.

I understand the logic for when it was written. I don’t think it was a bad thing then, but I wasn’t alive then. I do think it’s outlived it usefulness in the modern sense. Increased awareness and training opportunities given by actual expert trainers are better solutions, I think.

Honestly, if that NFA stamp were gone, we would open the course back up. PCC in a SBR format are our preference. But average people don’t really buy them because of the tax stamps and all that stuff. We do have an HKSPk course that we closed.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
It’s not harder to use, yes we’ve used them. And no, of course not. Mk19 courses would be first.

Most people can’t or don’t carry a rifle in open carry. Also, because a handguns are harder to shoot, they require a higher degree shooting fundamental mastery than rifles. We start on the hardest/most likely to carry firearm by an individual and transfer fundamental skills to shotguns and rifles.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
Because the fundamentals of shooting a handgun transfer directly to using other firearms. Starting small and scaling up is always easier than starting big and working down to a handgun. It’s part of our entire training philosophy. Also, start with what people have and can afford now, ya know?
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
The opposite is also true. Without gun control, those with lots of money can buy weapons the average person cannot afford and cannot get training on how to operate and maintain. Some already do. It’ll never be equal. Handguns are where we think reform should happen first.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
No one ever asks how to make gun laws equitable. We happen to think that handguns should be reduced in price or free based on income levels and training to at least a police academy graduate should be free and required.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
Sometimes.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
Cool. Then we probably know some of the same people. Congratulations on getting the guard cards and P.I. stuff. If you ever want to train in a two way range simulation, shout. It’s expensive but we are good at it.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
Thanks for visiting our site. We conduct firearms training regularly, but we don’t typically advertise when we are out of the country. We actually prefer outdoor ranges. Interested in a class?
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
You are not the part of the firearms community we train or interact with. Again, have a great day.
Bill @trngrgmnt.com · Nov 18
You clearly aren’t the type of person we do business with. Have a good day.
