I just found out that somebody is posting really hateful, racist emails spoofing my website email address. This is public notice that if anybody gets something heinous purporting to be from me, with an email address @ my website URL, I most definitely did not send it.
Not to be stereotypical, but publishing was historically an "acceptable" career for women (if not at the very highest levels), so the corporate culture developed very differently from most industries.

This is the hardest and most important thing I’ve ever done (and continue to do).
I think its genuinely a virtue to accept that you could be wrong about anything and kill the part of yourself that needs to always be seen as correct and smarter than others on any given topic
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

I thought "the president's just a wannabe king who flies a shit-dropping plane over his own country" is something his enemies would say about him but you do you
I’m relieved it’s not the first Cure song that came to mind for DHS 😳
Working in publishing was another story. I once had to repaint the sky on a cover for a book with a male teen protagonist because it was, and I quote, "too girly."
When I was little, I loved Alice in Wonderland and the Oz books. Later, I loved Harriet the Spy and A Wrinkle in Time. I never had any issue with girl protagonists because, thanks to my parents and the other adults in my life, I didn't know I was supposed to.
A question that I'm often asked goes something like, "Is it great to create content that shows girls how strong they can be?" YES. It is an honor to have girls who read my books or watch my shows to feel empowered. But...
IT'S EQUALLY IMPORTANT FOR BOYS TO SEE GIRLS AS MAIN CHARACTERS TOO.

"Brett Ratner is MAGA's Leni Riefenstahl" is not a sentence I would have ever predicted, but is appropriate on every level.

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

Oh man. You’re going to lose your shit when you find out about owls!
That's actually only a slight exaggeration from the modern conception of sauropods! Skinny swan necks (and shrink-wrapped skeletons in general) have been out for quite some time.
