Instead I will spend time reflecting gratitude for the laughter of children, and for the teaching paddles that young Jordan gave out today. The ta ow I received - respect.

Thank you Les.Pet, Cyndi, and all those who contributed to today.

It was disappointing to come home from UBCM and hear about about someone’s decision to steal orange shirts from ahjumixw, Willingdon Beach. It must be miserable to be filled with that much hate and spite.
Grateful for being in community on Day for Truth and Reconciliation, being among so many committed to creating a foundation for a better future, honouring elders and survivors, remembering children who didn’t come home, showing up in solidarity w each other (including people in orange on transit!)
Council last night voted to submit a letter of opposition to the dam owner's application to export the power generated to the US for 30 yrs. Learn more and add your voice *before Sept 25* keepourpowerlocal.ca.

Note this is not a City campaign, but it's aligned with the motion passed last night.
Keep our power local
Brookfield wants to export 100% of our local hydro power to the U.S. until 2055. Families here bear the costs, while the U.S. gets the benefits. Add Your Voice!

Hey, hey you? Have opinions about Benchlands? Link for more info and to give input here: participatepr.ca/zoning-amend...
“Benchlands”. This is a huge potential project (private development) for the future of our community, and City staff are doing early engagement on it. From Joyce to Cranberry along the pole line (more specifically, the NE side of the pole line). Do you want walkability? Preservation of nature? More homes near neighbourhood cores/services?
Our brains work different (not trying to brag, It is usually not this straightforward for me).

Saturday October 11th at Dwight Hall, save the date for Vampire Masqueerade version II! Mark your calendars. This is going to be at least twice as good as it was last year.
…is the care and concern for our unhoused neighbours since the closure of the previous shelter. We don’t all agree what to do about it, but I think this is an important part of the short term solution. Thank you to all partners for making this possible.
Excited by this announcement, it couldn’t come soon enough to ensure shelter in our community, especially as winter will come faster than we imagine. Everyone in our community is safer when we all have our basic human needs met. A common thread of compassion in our community that I’ve witnessed…
