First, Google tried charging $20 for Gemini AI features in @googleworkspace.bsky.social. Everyone then realized the tools are hot garbage and they gave up on pushing that plan. Now they’re “giving away” those tools and charging everyone $2 more per user per month for the same hot, hot garbage.

As a freelancer who gets MANY 1099s, I find it ridiculous I have to create an account with whatever tax platforms my clients use just to retrieve data legally owed to me. I shouldn't have to share my data with third parties I will only interact with for one purpose, once a year, to download a PDF.
