Sphagnum moss is believed to store more carbon than any other plant through a process known as carbon sequestration, which mitigates climate change by storing CO2, slowing the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

That book features images of nature encroaching on urban spaces, depicted it a way that is both beautiful and unsettling. When I saw how Faye illustrated mushrooms with such loving detail, I knew they would be a good fit to bring Ode to life.

The music for today’s short story includes this little riff that uses harmonics as a melody to create a cool polyphonic effect. The sound reminds me of twinkling stars, which ties in to the story.
