I’m a well traveled woman winding up my nursing career with my face towards the sweet land of retirement. Some of the things I do to stay creative are gardening (looking for advice on figs) canning, fermenting, slow stitching and watercolors.

Sorry I refuse to entertain the complete non-existent world where white people don’t know that countless cultures, including some of their own but certainly diasporic racialized ones, call their mom’s cousin’s friend’s sister they grew up with “cousin” and call close women elders “aunt/auntie”

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.
