Daniel Wheeler’s “Me On a Beam” (salvaged wood, cast stainless steel) is part of the two-person exhibition Valence with Wheeler and Azadeh Shladovsky. “Me on a Beam” is a play on “Mise en abyme” the French phrase for a picture within a picture implying infinite visual replication.

Raids have been going on here for months. What’s new is the militant amplification. Neighbors are watching to help out and speak up if they see ICE, the same way volunteers stepped up for their communities during the Eaton and Palisades fires.
