WCC after USGP

678 (C) McLaren
341 Mercedes
334 Ferrari
331 Red Bull

I know nobody cares who finishes 2nd in Constructors' but that's damn close.
Bearman and Gasly are also tied (20).
WDC after USGP

346 Piastri
332 Norris
306 Verstappen

Further down, Hulkenberg (41) overtakes Hadjar (39) and Sainz (38). Tsunoda is now tied with Ocon (28) (would you believe Ocon is ahead on countback).
Parc ferme cat

He didn’t find the second half very interesting
I don't think we saw much of the rest of the field tbh.
Bearman still got 9th despite going through the dirt.

I don't think I saw Alonso all day and he scored a point.
Someone mentioned a race or two ago, the 2nd car getting better and finding a few WCC points, is a result in a policy change from Laurent Mekies to make it more driveable, which tells me they could've done it all along.
Hamilton apparently punctured at the end.

Tsunoda did a decent job. OK the no.2 Red Bull shouldn't be 20 seconds off, but he's been mired in the teens all year, so 7th is good.
Verstappen wins.
Norris rescues 2nd.
Leclerc 3rd - good effort and deserves DotD.
Hamilton, Piastri, Russell, Tsunoda, Hulkenberg!, Bearman, Alonso
I worry the new cars next year will be a lot more boring. I hope not.
The media training and tedious Sky have been issues for a long time.
Disappointed on Charles' behalf though, he'd earned that 2nd place.
Now that's better. Give the tyres a break, get them back working and then don't wait when you get back to him, go straight away.
Norris has caught Leclerc but there are only 5 laps left.
The two genuinely fun & interesting races left in this year's F1 schedule are Interlagos and Las Vegas.
Not much going on after halfway.
This race can devolve into a long run without much going on after halfway. I'm looking forward to it though.
Norris will want to maximise points and hope Piastri can only get 3rd (or worse).
Piastri will be pushing. Verstappen just wants (and needs) to win.
And looks windy so it'll be tricky.
Now Verstappen complaining about his. What if Leclerc can keep the mediums alive and can close that gap? It's only 6.5 seconds.

So title maths - The ONE thing we said for Piastri not to do, was give Max another DNF. Oscar's set to lose 23 to Max this weekend. More or less a freebie. Yeesh. #F1
Norris says the tyres have gone. That's that then.
In fairness Tsunoda did move over on him, but that move wasn't on anyway
I like Bearman but he does make the odd mistake doesn't he
Leclerc undercut worked, at least for now. Norris at least has the softs this time.
Norris is not catching Verstappen. He's just about matching him.
That's better. The outside line wasn't working, so get him on the straight.
