Jay Huff postgame with an appropriate response as @dustindopirak.bsky.social asks him how much it has helped to go a stretch without losing someone to injury so they can build some continuity:

Pascal Siakam on the victory: "You can't take it for granted... when you're used to winning, you take it for granted."

More: "We've got to take it and enjoy it and know what it took for us to get to that... we can't keep losing."

"It's great to win," Mathurin says. "Looking forward to keep building as a team. And I think we have a great opportunity that's in front of us."

Carlisle said he was "ready to tackle" Jarace Walker after a mistake he made on the first defensive play of the second half. Praised Mathurin for his defense tonight right before that. All of these words from him to say it is an ongoing task for the Pacers to improve on defense.

"Jay has been doing a really good job with rim protection. He gives us a different look offensively," Carlisle says of Huff starting.

For the first time ever, the Pacers have won an NBA Cup game without Jordan Nwora on the roster.
Pacers clobber the Wizards 119-86. An absolutely dominant second half for the Pacers, who hold the Wizards to just 86 points. First time the Pacers have held a team under 90 since December 12, 2022. Pacers improve to 3-16. Siakam with 24 points and 11 boards.

Taelon Peter for 3 to put the Pacers up 33. Wizards call a frustrated timeout with 1:26 to go.
November 29, 2025 at 2:44 AM
Pacers, up 29, have put RayJ Dennis, Taleon Peter, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Garrison Mathews, and Tony Bradley on the floor.

Pacers lead reached 30 there for a second. A butt kicking. The Wizards are bad.
November 29, 2025 at 2:29 AM
Just a common foul. 3 foul shots.
Garrison Mathews fouled on a 3 and it's being reviewed for a reckless closeout. The way he jumps forward on his 3s makes it easier for him to draw fouls.

Garrison Mathews for 3 just before the buzzer of the third quarter and they lead by 21 at 94-73. Best Pacers defensive quarter of this game and they're in control.

Mathurin for 3 and he points to the sky. That one felt meanginful to him.

The best to ever do it.

As was known, Pascal Siakam has been the best player on the floor by far tonight. He's got 17 points and 6 rebounds at halftime and the Pacers are +21 with him out there. It's 64-52 Pacers at the break. McConnell, Sheppard, and Mathurin also effective.
November 29, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Really, really tough lefty finish there from Benn Mathurin + a drawn foul. Not sure how he got that one over a defender and in.

Not long after the Pacers get a 9-0 run of their own to force a Wizards timeout. Not a pretty game. Siakam the stabilizer - he's +18.
Since this: 9 Wizards points, 0 Pacers. Pacers lead down to 1 at 46-45.
After 6 shot attempts, Garrison Mathews finally gets a 3 to fall for the Pacers. They're up 10 now.

Out goes Huff, but he stays on the bench and doesn't require a locker room trip yet.
Huff's right eye is the answer. He's pointing at it now to tell a ref he got hit.
Jay Huff with the offensive rebound + backwards dunk. Took him a second to get up and he's holding the side of his face (maybe ear?). Hard to tell. Sheppard follows it up with a 3.
