The only real change with the election yesterday was the decimation of NDP and the downfall of its leader. That party still holds the balance of power to keep the liberal minority going.

Was not expecting to wake up to the NDP actually still having the ability to prop the government up with only 7 seats. I was fully expecting that power to sit with the Bloq

Fully expecting Poilievre to force a new rookie MP who won with a large margin to resign to a rejection can be triggered so he can win a safe race.

Wow. The CPC Candidate really just gave a big Fuck You to the newest part of the expanded riding. She Declined the request.

There’s so much bullshit and misinformation on the internet and social media on a normal day, having the go to “April Fools Day” thing to do for every person and organization be more fake information but from a legit source is very eye roll to me.

With the call of this election, I now live in a new riding. @darrenfisherns.bsky.social will be an easy vote and means I can ignore any and all efforts to sway my vote elsewhere for the next month. If you know who you are voting for locally, you can forgo the national spectacle about to kick off.

Two days in and we are discovering the tolls weren’t the problem with traffic for the MacDonald bridge. As long as both ends of the bridge have lights directing traffic there is going to be backups. Accidents will only continue to occur.
Got an update from HRP

They're on scene, and that ramp from Barrington to the Macdonald, Dart-Bound, is CLOSED.

The 90’s are back in kid’s fashion. I just bought my daughter a t shirt+mini strap dress

Thanks Mother Nature for the natural privacy blur on the bedroom windows tonight.

What a thrift find this afternoon. A 2015 Monster High girl’s winter jacket with the original Sears tags still on it for less than 20$.

Ever since my daughter learned how her toy that gives birth works she has turned it into a puppy mill, forcing the mom to give birth over and over and over again. Should I be concerned… 😂

When you are ordering books from a discount vendor during a sale and are 50 cents away from the free shipping qualifying total and you have to add the only 99 cent book listed to get you there 😂

You know your city is small potatoes when you discover the act you had bought advance tickets for cancels the performance and the. immediately announces tour dates in a larger city for the dates of your canceled tickets

Love how Halifax winter is now consisting of an entire season’s worth of snow being dumped on us during the shortest month of the year.

Love that for us.

Going though parenthood as a two dad family in this city sometimes feels very alienating. It feels like we have zero wider community of two dad households to interact with. Even within LGBTQ parental groups I always find ourselves as the lone two dad family involved.

The Canadian public should proceed with our plans to avoid us products to send a message. The government might be backing down on tariffs but we still don’t have to buy their country’s shit if we can avoid it

How long before publicly shaming people with American made items and products out in public becomes the new out of province license plates debacle NS experienced during the pandemic?

That feeling when you thought your laptop was fucked because the plug was super loose and could no longer charge and then you realize you’ve been using the wrong laptop cord for the past 6+ months

I can’t be the only one who didn’t really notice Americans absent from Tik Tok because the algorithm was still pushing content to my FYP that was made over the last few days by them. Right?

I have seen Cherry Blossoms for sale at retailer checkouts my entire life and never once do I recall ever seeing someone buy one.

Found these in a Salvation Army Thrift shop. I feel obligated to save this kind of LGBTQ documentation from being lost to history. Especially Canadian specific materials.

Its insane to me that this year’s season of The Traitors picked all 3 of my favourites from the cast from their respective franchises.

Scored a nice licensed baseball cap for our nephew from a property he is really into on clearance for $6.00 yesterday.

Given the inflationary times we’re are in, this is a big win.

Darcy and Howard the Duck having a child together via an egg is the stupidest tv plot line of 2024.
