Already dealing with medical anxiety from complex PTSD, I tried to get a hold of someone on that care team from the exam room, because I didn’t want to reschedule unless I had to.

It took a few transfers, paging nurses, put on hold, but I got my clearance + was able to proceed.

Recently discovered I needed some dental work done. Because of pre-existing conditions, I’ve needed pre-meds for things like this in the past, so I called my hematology oncologist to be cleared.

However, I spaced about checking with my ortho oncologist. Cut to me sitting in the chair…

Even having read The Long Walk, I wasn’t quite prepared for it to come to life on screen.

For those not in the know, the book was written in the 60s + was King’s 1st.

Some slight changes for screen, but the book still leads the storyline, which eerily also works today. #booksky #constantreader
