I despise the board as much as anyone, but I am just saying that it is all starting to make sense. To me anyway.

I couldn't get my head around the cash in the bank and the terrible transfer window. Now I can get my head around it.

I think the relationship had broken down and they knew BR wanted out. He didn't want to resign and they didn't want to sack him.
The previous summer transfer window, two most expensive signings ever, have so far been terrible.
They held back through lack of trust.
They should have sacked him.

The Summer transfer window makes more sense now.
The board knew this was coming and held back.
I do believe that BR signed Engels, Idah, Trusty.
They have been a total waste of money (so far).
Putting the two together, it kinda makes sense why the transfer window was sooo piss poor.

Putting all the politics and crap to one side for a minute.
Martin O'Neill should command respect immediately from our players. He will hopefully bring stability where there was chaos.
BR was gone, clearly, the players knew this.
Hopefully we will see immediate improvement and can push on.
