🏡 Bournemouth needs more good-quality, affordable homes. But building houses alone isn’t enough; we must build communities.

That means planning new developments around transport, schools, green spaces, and health and local services that help people to thrive.

It was to be back at King’s Park Academy last week to hand-deliver letters from me and the Secretary of State for Education to the pupils who met her during her visit.

Their questions, ideas, and energy shone through, and they made Bournemouth proud!

Seaside communities — like ours — face some of the country’s starkest health inequalities. Those inequalities cannot be improved without the right people talking to each other.

That’s why I brought together local health leaders from the NHS and the council to discuss how we can expand access.

Ending rough sleeping is close to my heart. I’m glad to have helped secure over £2m for local services — building on £867k earlier this year.

I was back at JP Morgan Chase today to meet their CEO, where they've announced more big investment on the way.

I stand unequivocally with the Jewish community against hate and in the hope of the return of all of the hostages held in Gaza, and for a just and lasting peace.

It was great to show Bridget Phillipson University Hospitals Dorset's newest community diagnostic imaging centre at Health Sciences University, & share the impact collaboration is having with greater access to scans.

The new centre means quicker diagnoses and better care.

Whether it’s a university degree or a technical qualification, students deserve the chance to succeed without being priced out. Bringing back maintenance grants for the students who need them most is vital to equalise access.

I introduced Bridget Phillipson to Steve and Luke from @AFCBCommunity, so she could hear about the work they do locally to provide 150+ sessions a week — including walking football, girls' sessions, and disability sessions.

The High Court has ruled that a PPE supplier who failed to deliver on their contract during the pandemic must repay every penny, plus interest.

That money will go back where it belongs: into the services people depend on.

As a former young carer, I know how important it is for young carers to be heard.

I invited Krista and Dan from MYTIME to meet the Education Secretary. They spoke powerfully about how school often makes life more complicated, not easier, giving a crucial voice to those who slip through the cracks.
