finally got to start on a new chapter today :3

pg 1 of chapter 5 of my comic:
tomcat cries tears of relief as he says “Jester! I’ve never been happier to see you, bro!” Jester gives a bashful smile saying “Had some coffee to get off your hands I guess?” A textbox reads “Jester: TomCat’s younger brother, radio host, likes to box and play saxophone”. chuchu stares up at the floating taiyaki, seeing s vision of a planet from far away. Someone off screen says “I’ll take some coffee if you got some ready.” A new character arrives, walking in his hand in his pocket and waving: he’s a dog with goggles and a floral shirt, and he greets the crew saying “Sup, big bro?”

Maggie explains: In SimCom, there are 2 kinds of players. There are human players like me- non virtual people who put on a headset to work, play and socialize in this virtual world called SimCom. And then there are virtual beings like TomCat- artificial intelligence born within SimCom, living, playing and working alongside human players. SimCom is the overarching virtual world. The town we’re in, Kaleido District is just one of many places you can go. So Chu Chu, which are YOU?”

ChuChu stares down at the takoyaki as it starts to float, his antennae using a beam of energy to pick it up. ChuChu asks a question and TomCat interprets saying “He says he doesnt know what a SimCom is.” Maggie, looking a little irritated, says “Look, dude, its simple. I’ll break down for you. (Please pay attention).” Chu Chu and TomCat are enraptured by Chu Chu’s ability to levitate the takoyaki, TomCat saying (Woah! He’s making the takoyaki float!)

As TomCat cleans the takoyaki pan, Maggie tosses a takoyaki ball over to Chu Chu saying, “It’s clear you’re a newbee to all of this. Here, try some takoyaki.” As Chu Chu stares at the ball between his flipper hands, Maggie asks, “So what’s this guy’s deal? Is he a virtual being or a human player?” TomCat asks him, “Well, Chu Chu. Are you a virtual being born in SimCom or a human player with a headset on?”

Chu Chu shows TomCat the translator saying “I got hungry.” With a facepalm, TomCat says “Oh yeah…” Giving Chu Chu a bright smile he says “Well, you’re in the right place! We’ve got a whole menu for you to try! (Much better than just takoyaki batter). A vision of takoyaki, coffee, a slushee, taiyaki, ramune, a cupcake and corndog appears as Chu Chu contemplates which to choose. Maggie shouts “TOMCAT! The takoyaki is burning!!”

Maggie asks “Can we help you?” Chu Chu gazes down at the bottle of takoyaki until he squirts it in his face. TomCat and Maggie both wonder to themselves “How’d I know he was gunna do that?” TomCat grabs a towel and says “I’ll clean this up!” Maggie walks off saying “mhmm…”
TomCat anxiously looks over his shoulder before he turns back to Chu Chu, cleaning up his face as he says, “Hey, man, I thought I told you to make yourself at home??”
