The new cycling infrastructure on Karl-Marx-Allee into Alexanderplatz is 👌

However this is the third time in a week I’ve seen cars turning right using the dedicated bike lane rather than the car lanes, maybe it needs some bollards? 🤔 #berlin

Just had a flashback to when a friend customised a pizza but forgot to include either cheese or a sauce in the options

When it arrived he opened the box to find a cooked pizza base and 8 meatballs rolling around the box 😂

Today in, "here's a crazy idea made [quicker] by #claude"

I really dislike email spam - so I thought to myself, could I avoid that problem altogether?

What if you had an SSH contact form, instead?

Terrible idea? Probably 🤔

Today in #claude experiments, what happens if we tried to make a multiplayer 3D web-based shooter in the browser (entirely without coding)?

Today's question/investigation: what if your #IaC could propose resolutions to common issues?

Today's #Claude experiment: what if we took a series of issues with existing infrastructure as code tooling and tried to fix that?

~2 hours of prompting later, I have a test CLI (in the most limited sense) deploying, CRUDing and performing operations on actual resources.

Wild.

Today I'm continuing experiment with #Claude, but in the #Infrastructure space.

I've opted to include this prompt, because I'm a lil salty about all of the unnecessary renames over the years

Yesterday I was reminiscing about how good the multiplayer (precinct assault) was in FutureCop: LAPD (PS1 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDEX...) and decided to look into acquiring a copy for old times sake.

I very quickly learnt that a "good" copy is hella expensive (100-250€).

BUT we have AI now.

The thermostat in my flat crashes if you press the buttons to fast and takes 20 seconds for a full reboot

It’s also got touch sensitive buttons that register phantom touches

Quite the combination when it’s -9c outside tbh

Earlier /this year/, a Berlin bar asked people to come more often because they were struggling with increased costs

They allow smoking inside, I suggested that some dedicated smoke free nights would increase footfall - as I’ve lost count of the number of people who won’t go because of the smoking
this is a good reminder of how things that are shitty but have been accepted as normal and inevitable can actually turn out to be abnormal and evitable with some science, time, education and political will

There’s so many LAP Coffee’s in Berlin these days

At what point should we start calling it LAPland instead? 🤔

Every now and then I browse my "downloaded apps" page in the App Store and come across this gem

What a moment in time that was #ukpol

Whilst waiting for @phoenix.tapbots.com I figured I’d try and add a native iOS translation sheet to @bsky.app

It’s interesting much better the dev UX is for the translate related gubbins is when using SwiftUI vs not (bsky uses react native)

Accepted! Go 1.26 will include a SECRET package. Don't tell anyone about it 🤫

Just kidding. The package wipes the memory to keep secrets safe — hence the name.

Really gotta hand it to government bureaucracy for innovating on the circular dependency front.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, something new appears.

“Can’t innovate, my ass”

As someone who uses Apple Pay, it’s interesting to see people use Google pay

I don’t think I’ve ever seen it work the way people expect it to, there’s always some confusion about whether the app is ready, if the phone is in the right place, etc

Half the time people give up and use a card instead?

A while back I stopped giving out my email unless it was absolutely necessary (I dislike email)

So many modern systems arbitrarily require an email, when the process itself doesn’t

Like checking into a hotel - the machines need an email but just chat with someone and it’s by-passable
