Enjoyed being able to spread some holiday cheer to kids at the Toys for Tots drop-off in D.C., with a surprise visit from my constituent Stitch. Mahalo to the Marine Corps & all the dedicated volunteers who make this effort possible and help brighten Christmas for keiki across the country.

Without immediate action, millions of Americans, especially families in Hawaiʻi, will face unaffordable health care premium increases on January 1.

We have bipartisan support to force a vote to stop this from happening and save healthcare. Let's get this done today.

The discharge petition to force a vote on extending ACA tax credits has received the necessary 218 signatures.

We are demanding an immediate vote in the House to extend these tax credits before December 31. Congress should not leave for the holidays without stopping premiums from skyrocketing.

Rural families have carried the burden of strained health care for far too long. We’re done being told to “make do.” It’s time for a rural health-care revolution that delivers dependable, affordable care close to home:

Rural America needs a health care revolution
From the volcano-lined communities of Ka’ to the corn belt of the Midwest, one truth is clear: rural America is being asked to survive a health care system that is flat-out failing us.

"When avoidable illness becomes fatal simply because care is too far or too expensive, the system is not in need of repair. It’s in need of a revolution." writes @tokuda.house.gov in the Revitalizing Rural America special section.

@demwomencaucus.bsky.social & the Hawaiʻi Congressional Delegation are demanding accountability & justice for our service members & their families who have been violated by the horrific sexual misconduct at Fort Hood and Tripler.

Joined my CPC colleagues to sound the alarm: Trump’s targeting of people based on how they look or where they come from and his assault on legal pathways to citizenship must stop. Eighty years after Japanese Americans were imprisoned, we are breaking our promise to do better. Enough is enough.

Grateful for our faith community, which continues to stand on the front lines for those who are scared, in need, or seeking a safe place to get help. I’m looking forward to future conversations on how we can work together to best serve and support our friends and neighbors.

Justice was denied for decades — tonight’s vote to release the Epstein files is years overdue. Pedophiles don’t get protection.

This is a win for the brave survivors who endured unimaginable horror. Now President Trump must sign the bill immediately and release ALL the files.

Honored to speak at the Preschool Development Grant Birth-to-Five Symposium. These grants help expand access to preschool, support early educators & give every child a strong foundation. While this admin cuts early childhood funding, I will keep fighting to protect this vital resource for our keiki.

Over 600 Native Hawaiian beneficiaries were offered 1,100 future homestead lots on Maui. This is what hope looks like. After generations on the waitlist, this is the fulfillment of Prince Kūhiō’s vision, the promise of a home & a future for our children in Hawaiʻi. Congrats!

SNAP serves children, elderly people, people with disabilities, veterans and working families. When Republicans talk about "cutting benefits," they need to say who they're choosing to go hungry.
