Well I'm moving Sai into the Win11 VM I set up. -A- It has its own dedicated GPU and I'm passing the framebuffer back with Looking Glass, so I'll work in there if I can't get software to run under Wine for now. I gotta get work done

All I'd need is working Tablet Pen Pressure under Wine-Wayland and it would be perfect!

But that doesn't seem to be possible at all.
I can't work without relying on selections and the clipboard.
And trying to draw without pressure is pointless.

Paint Tool Sai v2 on Linux. WAYLAND session, Labwc

Wine (9, 10, 10.6.. doesn't matter)

Wine runs in Xwayland mode:
- Tablet Pressure WORKS
- Clipboard BREAKS when copypasting anything but a tiny selection of pixels. (No alpha, wrong size)

Wine in Wayland mode:
- NO PRESSURE
- Clipboard WORKS

Gimp is slow as hell.
I somehow had the illusion that old, matured software would by now be super efficient and fast. 😂

For art, krita is alright. It's not as useful for general image editing tasks, so I'm looking at alternatives.
