I loved the seemingly effortless eye Martin had which enabled him to bring alive out the colour, joy and quirkiness of our seaside towns in particular. His work is a treasure chest that honours our seaside heritage and relationship with the coast. A sad loss to all of us.

Yes, yes and yes! Long overdue. The neglect and decline not to mention the Faded Seaside Glamour (thank you #delays) of our coastal towns has been an outrage and national shame. Growing up in Clacton-on-Sea in the 70s&80s, I witnessed first hand the lack of opportunities for young people. So yes!

Chatting with 20s GenZ daughter about the state of the world and the notion of hope. Some days I feel it and have a sense of playing a part to change things for the better. Her response was, 'That's your generation dad. My generation grew up knowing there's no f****ING hope, lol'. We need to talk!

While the city of culture idea is gimmicky, it has had a beneficial cultural and economic effect so I can see how it would spur some change in towns which ultimately could attract later investment. But there are a lot more towns in need. Overdue, is a Coastal Seaside Town of Culture. Desperate need.

While the city of culture idea is gimmicky, it has had a beneficial cultural and economic effect so I can see how it would spur some change in towns which ultimately could attract later investment. But there are a lot more towns in need. Overdue, is a Coastal Seaside Town of Culture. Desperate need.

We're going to have to acknowledge that Spurs don't have a reliably consistent striker. Even when Dom is fit he's not in that mould. Are we ready for a Bale style transformation to that role? Johnson, Kolo Muani, and Kudas all fighting for the right flank. Could one of them convert to a 9? #COYS
